András Salusinszky

András is an educator and institution builder whose career has significantly shaped language learning and Jewish education in Hungary. After earning his degree in Italian language and literature from Eötvös Loránd University and continuing his studies in Italy, he chose to return to Hungary to contribute his expertise at a time of national transformation.

He is the founder and director of the Foreign Trade Technical School in Budapest, which has become one of the leading secondary education institutions within the Hungarian Jewish community. The school offers state recognized training in commerce, logistics, finance, software development, tourism, and administration, preparing students with practical skills, foreign language competence, and a global outlook. He has also expanded Studio Italia, his family’s enterprise, into a multifaceted cultural center that now includes publishing, travel, and culinary programs alongside its original language education focus.

András’s commitment to this work is deeply personal. His family’s history is closely tied to the fate of Hungarian Jewry: his grandparents survived the Holocaust through courage and resilience, and their story remains central to his identity. Building on that legacy, András has dedicated his career to strengthening Jewish education, preserving culture, and ensuring that Jewish life in Hungary continues to thrive for future generations.
