Attila Bogdán

Attila is a dual-degree economist in foreign trade with an engineering diploma and a law qualification. He has pursued postgraduate studies in project finance, environmental protection, foreign exchange operations, and special project financing at institutions in Washington DC, London, Amsterdam, and Paris.

After spending 25 years in the Hungarian banking sector as a senior manager, today he is chief advisor to the CEO of the Federation of Hungarian Jewish Communities (MAZSIHISZ). He brings extensive international experience in the management of foundations, including close cooperation with the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation. His expertise in project finance and fundraising now supports the foundation’s mission, ensuring that initiatives are carried out with both professional rigor and long term sustainability.

Attila’s personal connection to this mission is rooted in his family history. His grandfather, a decorated World War I veteran, settled with his family as the only Jewish household in a small Hungarian village, where they survived the Holocaust in isolation. Inspired by this heritage and his professional background, Attila is dedicated to supporting initiatives that preserve Jewish memory and strengthen community life for future generations.
