The Székesfehérvár Jewish Community seeks to preserve its historical legacy and strengthen the connection between Hungarian Jews in the diaspora and their ancestral heritage.
This three-part initiative will establish a searchable digital archive of community documents, photographs, and architectural plans; create a comprehensive photographic record of the local Jewish cemetery to preserve deteriorating inscriptions; and develop a modern database of vital records from 1843 to 1945.
Carried out with professional support from the Hungarian Jewish Museum and Archives under MAZSIHISZ, the project will safeguard names, histories, and family continuity for future generations.
