In many provincial towns where Jewish communities were destroyed during the Holocaust, abandoned cemeteries remain the only visible reminder of the once-vibrant Jewish presence.
In recognition of this reality, the restoration of deteriorating gravestones and, in several locations, the repair of cemetery fencing has become necessary. This initiative will support preservation efforts in the following communities: Baja, Tiszaigar, Nyírmihálydi, Szentes, Csanádapáca, Kétegyháza, Nagykanizsa, Szécsény, Nemesbikk, Novajidrány, Barcs, Szigetvár, and Kacsóta.
